September 15 marks the start of Hispanic Heritage Month, and TurboTax is excited to join the celebration! We’ll be shining the spotlight on four Intuit customers who will share their inspirational stories through the #UnidosWeGrow video series. Powered by TurboTax, the #UnidosWeGrow video series speaks to the power of community, unity, and diversity within the Latino culture, and how perseverance through barriers leads to prosperity, growth, and success.

The #UnidosWeGrow video series is hosted by Colombian-born journalist Carolina Trejos and features the following guests:

  • Lissette Calveiro: This Ecuadorian-Cuban American digital entrepreneur and influencer embodies the #UnidosWeGrow mantra by encouraging her clients to advance their business by relying on their communities for support and embracing their Latino heritage.
  • Arnulfo Tuñón-Ortiz (aka Tuna)  :  A Mexican American neuroscientist who advocates for making STEM accessible to underprivileged and underrepresented communities. He credits his success to his community and the people in his life who encouraged him to dream big.
  • Genesis Arizmendi, PhD: A Mexican American teacher and speech therapist, Genesis has spent the last 15 years focused on improving educational outcomes for diverse children with and without disabilities.
  •  Chef Raymond Li:  A Colombian, Cuban, and Chinese chef who persevered during the pandemic lockdown, launching Li’s Sum & More restaurant and growing the business through community word of mouth.

TurboTax is proud to recognize these inspiring stories that demonstrate U.S. Hispanics’ determination and the power of community. By celebrating their amazing journeys, we want to uplift and inspire others to reach their financial goals and dreams.
