The potential winner will be required to respond to the direction in the message within twenty-four (24) hours with full contact information. I got locked out of my account and could not get in. The first tax helper was a very nice man, but because I was locked out, we were not able to complete my taxes. I could not even contact him. I contacted support and an angel came to my rescue. She picked up where he left off and guided me to the completion of my taxes. She was kind and gracious and extremely proficient in guiding and explaining everything to me. I finished my taxes and sent them off. This was a first for me using TurboTax! Thank you! My issue is that I’m getting over $1500 back from state and I have to pay federal. I’ve never had to pay federal ever before. I know waiting is my fault but I thought that TurboTax would allow me to file an extension and help out. After calling a couple I found out that I can’t file an extension without purchasing the software first. There wasn’t a way to take the money from my state return so I can’t even file an extension unless I can get a hold of some money to get the software. Next year I’ll have to go to a live person to do my taxes. Reply Hi Tim, Thank you. You do not have to purchase the software to file an extension. You can use TurboTax Easy Extension for free https://turbotax.intuit.com/irs-tax-extensions/ Just remember that an extension to file is not an extension to pay so you will receive penalties on the amount you owe. My experience with TurboTax was almost a failure! I got locked out of my account and could not get in. The first tax helper was a very nice man, but because I was locked out, we were not able to complete my taxes. I could not even contact him. I contacted support and an angel came to my rescue. She picked up where he left off and guided me to the completion of my taxes. She was kind and gracious and extremely proficient in guiding and explaining everything to me. I finished my taxes and sent them off. This was a first for me using TurboTax! Thank you! I will be back next year! Reply

Brian, my TT expert, spent a very long time with me when I had a problem downloading an update. Even when we found that the issue was with my computer, he stayed with me until it was fixed and I was able to complete and file me taxes. And he was always kind, pleasant…and persistent! All of the customer service reps were very friendly and tried real hard to help solve my problem. The third one I was referred to–Betty–actually did solve it for me. BUT it took forever to get the phone number to call, and then long waits on hold to get to each one. The problem turned out to be due to the lack of proper instructions in the program. Kudos to the support team. I had an issue where the state kept rejecting my filing and could not remedy the issue in TT until support was able to find the right navigation to the area that was neatly hidden from finding. We screenshared and resolve the issue. Filed and accepted. Happy and can sleep now. Reply

Love your tax software. Used it for over 10 years now. My issue is that I’m getting over $1500 back from state and I have to pay federal. I’ve never had to pay federal ever before. I know waiting is my fault but I thought that TurboTax would allow me to file an extension and help out. After calling a couple I found out that I can’t file an extension without purchasing the software first. There wasn’t a way to take the money from my state return so I can’t even file an extension unless I can get a hold of some money to get the software. Next year I’ll have to go to a live person to do my taxes. Reply
Hi Tim, Thank you. You do not have to purchase the software to file an extension. You can use TurboTax Easy Extension for free https://turbotax.intuit.com/irs-tax-extensions/ Just remember that an extension to file is not an extension to pay so you will receive penalties on the amount you owe. Unfortunately I didn’t write down the lady’s name that helped me but she was more than AWESOME in every way. She is more than worthy of a “spot promotion” or a bonus for her outstanding effort. She went above and beyond to help me and never became frustrated with my questions. She was very cool under pressure and was a distinct pleasure to work with. This lady is a real TEAM player and is an excellent customer service representative for your company. She would also make an outstanding trainer for new personnel as well. I’ve had great experiences with TurboTax formerly, but not this year. I’m not even sure the taxes were filed — the last I saw was both fed and state taxes were “pending.” Reply

TURBOTAX MAKES IT MORE COMPLICATED & CONFUSING EVERY YEAR…., I paid for on-line this year but used CD’s prior…. I’m all DONE WITH RETURN….. can’t see my Return or any Forms…. so I don’t have results of 11 hours of input…. NOW, asking me to pay again! I know I PAID FIR PREMIER AS THE REP EXPLAINED HOW TO GET MY PREVIOUS YEARS’ returns downloaded into this 2017; however, nowhere can I tell it used my previous info, depreciation schedules, etc…. she confirmed I bought PREMIER EDITIONS BUT NOW IT IS ASKING ME TO PAY AGAIN….. what a screwed up mess…. when I used OLD IRS FORMS IT WAS EASIER & QUICKER…. pls help! I was very happy with the help of your staff including the video help. I was a little disappointed I could not get a printout BY MAIL of claims submitted. I do not own a printer. After two calls to Intuit to resolve my difficulty downloading my 2016 state program, I was ready to abandon Turbo Tax after decades (back to Chipsoft days) as a customer. On the third try, “Nancy” very patiently and methodically ruled out every possible obstruction and came up with a creative solution which fully resolved the issue. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN TURBO TAX. There was no way to contact anyone and I had three different amounts due, including one refund, so it was not properly done. I must have input things in the wrong places. ALso it said FREE but I saw there are charges to contact anyone.

If you get Vanita on the phone, consider yourself lucky. Out of the approx 5 people I spoke with, she was the only person who resolved my problem (a shipping problem), in less than 10 minutes. All the others I spoke with told me that they handled it, but never did. Reply

I called Turbotax for help with a complicated issue with my return this year. I was told that I could leave my number and they would call. It took a while as we are nearing the end of tax season, but it was a real convenience to not have to wait on hold. The person who assisted me was great. I was just 1 step from completing with my return – the review. I kept getting a single error message that directed me to edit my W2 to show the new location that I moved to. I called and got Corina (probably spelling her name wrong – sorry) – she was great – after spending some time working thru the issue – she discovered that I needed to link to a form to make the required change – and that I could not link to that form with the on-line version of Turbo-Tax. She walked me thru the steps of downloading the full version and linking my almost complete tax return to the newly installed version. Everything worked great – my return linked and I was able to edit the proper form – very simple actually. I know everyone was very busy – this was 07-April. She was terrific – never pushy – very helpful. I couldn’t ask for better or more professional assistance. Reply

I was not able to electronically submit my CA tax return because of an issue with a Section 179 expense deduction from a business partnership K-1. I couldn’t figure out how to adjust my K-1 section 179 deduction below the $25000 limit set by the state of CA. The support person I spoke with was able to show me how to do that resulting in the successful electronic submittal of my CA tax return. Reply

It has been over 30 days since my tax was accepted and turbo tax needed to be paid, well at least according to the email I received. I contacted their help line which was provided to me in the correspondence and got immediate assistance. The customer service representative was very helpful and friendly, my issue was resolved very quickly. As previous set up, they will be paid once my taxes are returned. I would recommend the use of Turbo Tax to everyone, fast and easy with great customer service. Reply

I called on three different occasions. Twice for help and once to resend this survey which I accidentally deleted. The first agent named “Nathaniel” was very helpful, professional and pleasant to talk with. On the second occasion, “Charleston” shared my screen with me and was able to walk me through the glitch that got in the way of my progress. Lastly, “Bill” was kind enough to resend me the survey and asked the appropriate questions regarding any need for help. In all three cases, these gentlemen seemed as though they were on a mission to do their utmost in helping me. I made lots of errors, repeat amounts, large amount owing. Got a service guy on the telephone and he led me through every step and reduced my owed amount to what I had expected and even some less.
