If you’re like me, you’ve been so swamped with things to do at work and home that you haven’t had time yet to submit your tax return. We’re unpacking from our recent big move, and I was shocked to see that we’re already going to wrap up February in a week. How about we make a deal with one another: let’s get our taxes done by the end of this month…today! Leap Day = Tax Day: Go Mobile Most people I know don’t want to spend a lot of time getting their taxes done, so let me give you a sort of cheat you can use come Leap Day: go mobile with your taxes. As you enjoy this “bonus day”, take your taxes with you! Seriously. You can complete your taxes with your phone or tablet during lunch at work or on your train commute home. You can download the TurboTax app on any of your devices so it’s a seamless transition from work to home to anywhere. You can also jump-start your taxes by snapping a photo of your W-2 and the information will transfer to the right forms, eliminating pesky data entry. Got a question? You can connect to a live TurboTax expert via one-way video through the TurboTax mobile app with TurboTax SmartLook, so you can get your taxes done with confidence. It also means you have more time to relax on this extra day…and you’ll be one step closer to your tax refund. Break It Down and Send it Out If today feels like just another Monday, tackling your taxes bit by bit over the next week may be the best way to go. Make it easier on yourself and break it up into manageable chunks. For this upcoming week, go ahead and commit to 20 minutes or so to enter some information every day. You’ll have your #TaxesDone in no time. This is the route I take every year as I get our documents in the mail. It takes a lot of stress off of me, and it’s easy for me to save and come back to our tax return with TurboTax. With TurboTax you can even start on your phone by snapping a photo of your W-2 and finish on your tablet or computer. So no matter how you tackle your taxes, getting them done always feels like a huge win! I’d love to hear from you. What tips do you have on making taxes easier to do?
