There are three types 1095 forms: the 1095-A, 1095-B and 1095-C. You’ll receive a 1095-A if you purchased health insurance through the Marketplace. You’ll need this form before you sit down to file your taxes. Luckily, entering the information from the form into TurboTax is as simple as entering a W-2. You may receive a Form 1095-B or 1095-C in the mail if your health insurance is provided directly through a health insurance company, government plan, or if health insurance was offered to you through your employer. But, according to the IRS, you do not need to file Form 1095-B or C with your taxes – simply review for accuracy and save for your files!
