Uncategorized How I Spent Less and Increased My Refund This Tax Season Leer el artículo Abrir el cajón compartido Escrito por TurboTaxBlogTeam Publicado Ago 23, 2019 - [Updated Abr 8, 2020] 1 minutos de lectura Confession time. Ever since I started filing my taxes in college, I’ve used an accountant. And not just any old account, but my family’s trusted accountant who always gave us a “great deal” – or so I thought! This year, I cracked down on my budget. I am looking to buy a car and (hopefully) stop renting, meaning I need to save in any way I can. So, when I heard some friends talking about how they used TurboTax for under $100, I was all ears! But before I committed, I wanted to make sure I wasn’t completely on my own when I filed. Since I have a few investments and moved states in the last year, I had a few new questions about my 2017 taxes. After some researching, I found the best DIY option for me – TurboTax Live! It let me get my questions answered quickly by connecting live via one-way video to a CPA or Enrolled Agent while I was filing. I was able to get all my questions answered and taxes done quicker than ever before all from the comfort of my couch. Sounds too good to be true? Wait for it…. my refund actually INCREASED this year. So, I spent less money, got my taxes done quicker and made more money? I bet you can guess what I’m going to use to file my taxes next year. Did you use TurboTax or TurboTax Live this year? I want to hear about your filing story in the comments!
