TurboTax IRS 1040 Form and Schedules Interactive Tool

In June 2018 the IRS announced they were working on changes to the 1040 tax forms. The new 1040 form consolidates the three versions of the 1040 into one form. In addition to shortening Form 1040, the changes eliminate Forms 1040EZ and 1040A and increase the number of tax schedules supporting Form 1040 by six additional forms.  You are most likely already done with your taxes and TurboTax doesn’t make you know tax forms or tax laws so you probably didn’t notice any changes when you filed with TurboTax, but we want to keep you informed about the new Form 1040 and the six new schedules.  Check out our cool interactive that lets you click on your profile and see what forms apply to you.

*This interactive only refers to the new 1040 and new schedules.  Your tax return may also include additional schedules like schedule A for itemized tax deductions.

Don’t worry about knowing tax forms or tax laws.  TurboTax has you covered.  TurboTax will ask you simple questions about you and give you the tax deductions and credits you’re eligible for and put your information on the correct forms based on your entries.  If you have tax questions, you can connect live via one-way video to a TurboTax Live CPA or Enrolled Agent with an average 15 year’s experience to get your tax questions answered. TurboTax Live CPAs and Enrolled Agents are available in English and Spanish and can also review, sign, and file your tax return.
