  1. 1. How much Additional Standard Tax Deduction over $24,000 is allowed for a married couple, both over 65 and over?

    2. Are Charitable Contributions and Out-of-Pocket Medical Expenses allowed to be deducted from the income separately, in spite of using Standard Deductions?

  2. I have sold my acreage (home) this year and want to know which Turbo Tax Software should I buy to report the sale. I normally use Deluxe. I am hoping to not have any capital gains after deducting various home improvements. I have requested Publication 523 for instructions.
