AdAge Honors TurboTax as one of America’s Hottest Brands

TurboTax News

How much do I love this AdAge article? Hmmm. A whole bunch! This week, AdAge gives props to new and established brands that are setting the pace for innovation and getting great results.

TurboTax is right up there with Jet Blue, Cover Girl, Elizabeth & James (the Olsen twins clothing line) and get this, the Snuggie.

AdAge interviewed VP of TurboTax Andy Young, who recently joined Intuit about two months ago. He talks about the great work the TurboTax online marketing and brand teams did last year to grow new customer acquisition and online engagement with ‘never been done,’ innovative programs that cross online and offline advertising, social media and PR.

NetBanker notes that TurboTax was the only financial tech company that made the list and said “Who would have thought tax preparation software could be cool?” Well, me, actually. And a bunch of other people at TurboTax think so too.

While we appreciate the recognition, what really matters to us is that we’re going way outside the box to build equity in the TurboTax brand with millions of consumers who don’t know how we can help them do their taxes easily and get a bigger refund.

Our job is to help you put more money in your pocket. Having AdAge give us some love for doing that in fun, engaging and innovative ways is just icing on the cake.

  1. gk… Sorry to hear you are having difficulty installing TurboTax Basic. While we are not aware of any major installation problems, I can only suspect you may be frustrated by a known Microsoft bug with their .net software that is causing a problem. While this is a known issue for a small number of customers (this affects any software that uses Microsoft’s installer software) and has been around for a few years, Microsoft still does not have any specific fix for it. If this is indeed what is corrupting your installation, please contact our technical support team and mention the fact that you believe it may be a .net issue. They have a tool that fixes this issue in most cases.

    I hope this information helps.

  2. TurboTax Basic 2009 has major installation problems a repeat of Basic 2008

The problem: Turbotax installation failed, reinstall. When you try to reinstall one receives a message to remove existing copy. IT has been removed, but still shows it still present. Hidden on the computer are several files created by msie. These must be removed Microsoft has a download that will reveal these hidden files.
