Beginning in 2014, most Americans are required to have health insurance or incur a tax penalty when they file their 2014 taxes in 2015.  If you have minimum essential health benefits provided by your employer, Medicaid, Medicare, or your parents’ health insurance plan, you most likely met the Affordable Care Act requirement and will not face a penalty.  In some cases you may also be exempt from the requirement to purchase health insurance.  Our infographic will help you figure out if you may be exempt.
