IRS Has $1 Billion in Unclaimed Tax Refunds: Claim Yours! [Interactive]
Every year the IRS reports they have about $1 billion in unclaimed refunds waiting for people who did not file a tax return. Many people think they don’t have to file because they don’t make enough money, however they may be missing out on a tax refund if they had taxes deducted from their paychecks, paid estimated taxes, or were eligible for credits such as the Earned Income Tax Credit. The IRS estimates that half of the potential 2008 tax refunds are $637 or more so if you didn’t file your tax return in 2008, you have 3 years from the due date to claim your tax refund – that’s Tuesday, April 17th! Check out our interactive break down to find out how much tax refunds may be waiting for you.

Hi Dilla,
You have to file your previous years tax returns if they are not filed. TurboTax will guide you through the necessary entries and put your information on the proper forms. If you need previous years tax software you can download them from our website.
