You may have misunderstood all the gobbligook unclear math, so that is the first point that you obviously failed to understand. Although like so many others who ending up paying more than they understood that they would... ie when you are told that something is free when your income is above 57,000 then you obviously didn't understand that only the E filing fee would be free. When you clicked on the Basic or above services, there would be additional charges that you owe. Once they finished tallying up all the extra services you must have requested while filling out the forms, then you were charged for those services. So, if the charges added up to what you ended up paying, then you obviously asked for those services because you agreed by paying, didn't you??

Thomas, the sun may be shining at this moment, somewhere around the globe, but the gathering storm against the globalists is close at hand. Freemen will not capitulate to tyranny nor will they show obeisance to despots, unlike the current resident of the people's house! Taxing for the sake of creating deeper subservience by the masses will not a balanced budget make, nor will it even attend to the crisis of this nation's owed interest on the national debt. So, I would submit, that the people just renege on their inadequate ransom and permit the FED just print the needed payment and continue the course that they are already have been pursuing and hold them accountable for the demise of the US economy as they are the ones who have positioned us all here!

I just want to know if I could do my Federal taxes first, and in a week do my state taxes, when I have money in my bank account.

Or do I have to wait until I have money in my bank account to do my Federal and State taxes

at the same time. I live in Washington, DC, and I think that there is a filing charge for State taxes.
